What--or who--is Purple Rooster Marketing?

Actually, this page should be the "About me" page, since there is no "us."

I'm Suzanne Wood, and I'd rather be writing about your company or organization, helping you achieve your goals, than talking about myself.

But since it's crucial to know more about someone who will be entrusted with the vitally important task of communicating your messages, here goes:

I became a freelance corporate communications/marketing communications writer in 1998 after close to 10 years as both a print journalist and public relations manager.
Although people often ask if I've worked in an ad or PR agency (I haven't), I've found my journalism experience to be extremely valuable. Because I excel at interviewing people, doing research, telling stories and crafting memorable opening paragraphs, I'm able to deliver accurate, precise, and decidedly readable copy.
Oh, and I meet deadlines, too, something else that I learned from both journalism school and my years as a reporter and editor.
Before I launched Purple Rooster Marketing, I worked as an editor at a state Chamber of Commerce magazine; served as a pubic relations manager in the development office of a science and math school; and wrote and edited stories for a local weekly business magazine. I got my start as a reporter at The Riverdale Press, a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York City-based weekly paper.
